Today I set out to make a few Anniversary cards that I will need in the next little bit. I decided to use the lovely layout over at Freshly Made Sketches. I specifically chose the beautiful Live Beautifullyonly available until the end of the month, and am linking up with the Color My Heart Color Dare and the "coming up roses" challenge over at Heart2Heart.
Paper - Live Beautifully (CTMH); Distressed Watercolor Paper (Tim Holtz);
Stamps - Big Hug (CTMH); Embossing Powder - Princess Gold (CTMH);
Dies - Stitched Rectangles (MFT);
Embellishments - Burlap Flowers (Recollections); No Worries sequins assortment (CTMH).

It's that beautiful time of year when the blossoms are out and things are starting to fill in. I was inspired to get out my Art Impressions watercolour tree set while sitting out in the sunshine this weekend. I decided to colour right onto my stamp with my Tombow and Marvy markers and then use a brush pen to blend it out a bit. I am linking up with the Art Impressions "stripes and dots" challenge and used the sketch over at Mojo Monday. I am also linking up with the ribbon challenge over at Heart2Heart. I loved the inspiration photo for this week over at Inspired By All The Little Things which just screams spring to me, and although these flowers aren't tulips, I just love the pink colours :).
Paper - Live Beautifully; Uptown Fundamentals (CTMH); Distressed watercolour paper (Tim Holtz);
Stamp - WC Tree set (Ai); Dies - Stitched Rectangles (MFT); Ribbon - Burlap, White burlap (CTMH);
Markers - 761, 126 (Tombow); No. 18 dark brown (Marvy).

Here is a close-up of one of the other trees I created:

It was a beautiful sunny day today and what better to do than sit on the deck with some watercolour projects! I took out this Nurse set that I got from my Aunt to make some birthday cards for my two nurse sister-in-laws. One birthday is in the spring and one is in the fall but I thought I may as well make them at the same time. I just love those Lawn Fawn plaids and luckily I had both sets to fit my needs! I am linking up with the Art Impressions "dots and stripes" challenge. I added "a bit of sparkle" to my cards with some embellishments to link up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and used the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.
Paper - Rainbow Plaid (Lawn Fawn); Island Blue cardstock (SSS);
Stamps - Proud Nurse set (Ai); Dies - Stitched Rectangles (MFT);
Colour - Tombow markers; Embellishments - Sparkle dots (CTMH).

Here is the fall version. My Marvy marker didn't seem to want to blend as well on this nurse's outfit, but it could have been because I was out in the hot sun, too!
Paper - Perfectly Plaid for Fall (Lawn Fawn); Dark Chocolate cardstock (SSS);
Stamps - Proud Nurse set (Ai); Dies - Stitched Rectangles (MFT);
Colour - Tombow and Marvy markers; Embellishments - Gold Sequins (CTMH).

Live Beautifully

Here is the Mother's Day card I came up with this year using the lovely Close To My Heart Live Beautifully paper collection to celebrate National Scrapbooking Month. I am linking up with the Heart2Heart challenge of "coming up roses" and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, "going dotty".
All supplies are Close To My Heart:
Paper - Live Beautifully paper collection; White Daisy cardstock;
Stamps - Mother's Day Workshop on the Go; Embossing Powder - Princess Gold;
Embellishments - White Burlap ribbon; Cashmere twine.

Here is a little bag I made from the same paper collection to put a small jar of jam in for my mom.
Soon after this picture was taken, my bag had been set on the floor and this little guy got it. Luckily there wasn't too much damage so it could be salvaged! He's lucky he's so cute ;)
