Here is a card I put together for my Dad's birthday. He is the ultimate handyman and always seems to know how to build or fix things around the house, so I knew just the set I wanted to pull out for him. I also love these Simple Stories woodgrain papers and knew they would fit great too. I used Freshly Made Sketches and had originally intended on having a clump of tools at the top of the pegboard to coordinate with the sketch but decided I liked it better spreading them around.
Paper - Kraft, Charcoal, Black, White Daisy cardstock (CTMH), Wood & Notebook Basics (Simple Stories);
Ink - Charcoal (CTMH); Stamps - All The Fixings (Taylored Expressions);
Dies - Pegboard, Little Bits Tools (Taylored Expressions), Stitched Rectangles (Memory Box).

I am excited to finally put this card together tonight! I've had these images coloured up and just waiting for the opportune time to turn into a card. I'm thinking I may make up a coffee set with this layout design from Freshly Made Sketches. These blueprint stamps and gold lettering seem to be my go-to right now :).
Paper - Kraft, Black cardstock, Gold Foil, Watercolour paper (CTMH); Cream and Sugar (Doodlebug);
Stamps - Freshly Brewed Mini Blueprints (Tim Holtz), One Cup (Verve);
Dies - Stitched Circles (SSS), Coffee word die (Verve);
Embellishments - Milk & Cookies matte gumdrops (YNS).

I put this card together using one of the blueprint images I coloured up in Ontario with my Aunt. I love the shading you can obtain using the Copic markers! I made this card to give to my husband to celebrate our 6th anniversary today. I even snuck in 6 gumdrops to signify it too ;). I was inspired by the rustic wood and red Cola tray from the inspiration pic over at Fusion as I was choosing my papers for this card. This picture just screams summertime chill to me, which is what I'm looking forward to doing today! Cheers!
Paper - Ruby, Black cardstock, Gold Foil (CTMH), Wood & Notebook basics (Simple Stories);
Stamps - Beer Blueprint (Tim Holtz);
Dies - Stitched Rectangles (Memory Box); Happiness (Verve);
Embellishments - Milk & Cookies Matte gumdrops (YNS).
I've been waiting to bust out this super fun cocktail paper I picked up on my recent trip to Ontario and after getting some inspiration from my Aunt and Sketchy Saturday, I set out to create something fun! I loved using a watercolour technique with my markers sitting by the lake this past weekend to colour up these fun cocktails :).
Paper - Glacier, Black, Colonial White cardstock, Gold Foil (CTMH), Distressed Watercolour Paper (Tim Holtz);
Patio Party - Mocktails (Jen Hadfield);
Ink - Onyx Black (Versafine); Image coloured with Marvy & Tombow markers;
Stamps - Mini Blueprints 10 (Tim Holtz);

Chicken Orzo Salad

Here is a recipe I improvised with according to what we had on hand because I did not want to go out grocery shopping! I love how it turned out - yum :)

Chicken Orzo Salad
1/2 16oz. package of orzo
2 chicken breasts, chopped and cooked with seasoning (I used thyme and Montreal Steak Spice)
1 bunch spinach, chopped and steamed
1/4 c. crumbled feta
2 green onions, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1/4 c. chopped pecans, toasted
Fresh herbs to taste (I used rosemary, basil, and sage)
1/4 c. olive oil
1/4 c. balsamic vinegar

Cook orzo according to package directions. Mix in remaining ingredients and chill. Serve and enjoy!

Don't you just gotta have gingham?! I am loving all the gingham right now and was stoked to pull it out for these cards. I used this week's Freshly Made Sketches and utilized leftover pieces on each card creating one with several 'happy' die cuts stacked on top of one another and creating the other with the negative space.

Paper - White, Whisper, Black, Seaglass cardstock (CTMH), Gotta Have Gingham (Lawn Fawn);
Stamps - Say It In Style (CTMH);
Ink - Tuxedo Black (Memento), Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans distress oxide inks (Tim Holtz);
Dies - Happy (CTMH), Best Ever (Studio Katia), Stitched Rectangles (Memory Box), Mini Hearts (SSS);
Embellishments - Iridescent Hearts (Studio Katia).
