I have finally created the fourth and final card of my coffee card set! Phew! That took me awhile! But I am very pleased with the results and happy to create this fun coffee card set. I will post a group shot of them soon :)

Distressed Watercolour paper (Tim Holtz); Perfectly Plaid Christmas (Lawn Fawn);
Stamps - Coffee Helps (Verve); Dies - Stitched Pennants (Verve); Wonky Stitched Squares (MFT);
Embellishments - Milk & Cookies matte gumdrops (YNS).

I've been meaning to share this card I made for our friend. It has been amazing to make memories with one of my childhood friends and our babies this year who are 2 1/2 months apart. Sunflowers hold a special place in my heart so I was beyond excited to see this new paper collection release from Close To My Heart to kick off our next idea book. It is one of my favourites that I have seen come out in the past few years! This card features a few of our newest products -
Grateful Heart paper collection + Stitched Hearts dies + Gold Tinsel embossing powder

Paper - Grateful Heart paper collection; Saffron, Kraft, Black cardstock (CTMH);
Stamps - Just A Number, Framework Alphabet, Alphabets (CTMH);
Dies - Stitched Hearts, Basic Hearts (CTMH);
Embossing Powder - Seafoam White, Tinsel Gold (Ranger);
Embellishments - Twine (PTI).

As I have mentioned before, one of my goals this year is to support and shop more local shoppes and handmade items. I came across a fabulous shoppe called Timber Child a few months ago. They make the sweetest children's wooden plates out of Canadian Maple Wood and pledge to use only 100% Canadian materials - that's awesome! And the best part is that they are located right here in British Columbia. I was so happy with the cute little fox plate we got our son to celebrate his move to solid foods that we gave one to our friend for her birthday too.
I found some time to put together the third card in my coffee set that I have been making. I am linking this one up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge of eat or drink as well. I think this is my favourite image of the freshly brewed blueprints (I'm going to pretend it's a glass to-go cup with a metal straw ;) ) and I love it with the hint of aqua (and this plaid too!).
Paper - Kraft, White Daisy, Black cardstock (CTMH);
Distressed Watercolour paper (Tim Holtz); Perfectly Plaid Christmas (Lawn Fawn);
Stamps - Freshly Brewed Mini Blueprints (Tim Holtz); Coffee (Verve);
Dies - Wonky Stitched Squares (MFT); Stitched Pennants (Verve);
Embellishments - Milk & Cookies matte gumdrops (YNS).
I was in my friend Sarah's wedding last weekend down in Polson, Montana. We lived together in Victoria with two other girls, Micki and Aretha, for 3 years while we were going to the University of Victoria. Sarah asked me to put together this canvas for her guests to sign at the wedding that would showcase where she was from (Alberta) and where he was from (Montana). It turned out to be a great keepsake that now hangs in their home.
To make this I started out with an 18x24 white canvas. I mixed navy blue acrylic paint with some black acrylic to get a darker navy and painted the entire canvas. After that was dry, I painted on the Alberta and Montana outlines with rose gold acrylic paint and then carefully did the lettering with a paintbrush as well. I was very glad to have played with the layout ahead of time in a mockup with white paper that I created to-size so that I already had an idea of where everything was to go and around what size it should be. Guests were able to sign the finished canvas with silver and gold sharpies :)

Finally, I have finished the second card in my latest coffee set! Although it's been a little quiet on my blog this month, I have been crafting away in my newly organized craft room! I have been prepping to sell some of my cards at a new store coming to my city and I cannot wait to share what I have been making :)

I have loved this sentiment for a long time and decided to pair it up with this to-go cup from the Tim Holtz blueprints. I used Freshly Made Sketches and am also linking up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge of food or drink. I cannot wait to finish the other two cards for this set!
