I finished another project to share for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! This time I set out to create an iced tea card. I was inspired by Betsy Veldman's pink lemonade card that she made using the Just Mason Around set last year from The Greetery

I decided to create a gingham tablecloth using the Flappable stencil. For my first card I used cracked pistachio and for the second one I used worn lipstick. These two colours happen to have been my very first distress oxide inks that I ever got years ago!

I played around with some different colour combinations for my lemons and settled with squeezed lemonade + fossilized amber and fossilized amber + spiced marmalade. To create my mason jar glass, I used the detail stamps on watercolour paper and then used my Tombow markers. On the first card I used only the final detail mason jar stamp and then added in some highlights with a white gel pen. On the second card I used both of the detail stamps for a bit of a different look. A big thank you to my Auntie Karen for suggesting some tips for this card!

Paper: Solar White (Neenah); Coldpress watercolour (Canson)
Ink: Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio, Fossilized Amber distress oxide; Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade distress ink (Tim Holtz); Pixie, Pomegranate, Olive, New England Ivy, Black (CTMH)
Markers: 451, 969, 977 (Tombow)
Stamps: Just Mason Around, Lemon Blossom (The Greetery)
Dies: Just Mason Around (The Greetery)
Stencils: Flappable (The Greetery)

  3. Both cards are super pretty! I think I like the Cracked Pistachio version most, as the pink flowers pop against it more than they do on the Worn Lipstick one. They're both beautiful though.
