I am so stoked that I was able to squeeze in some time to make a card for this year's Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I took out one of my coffee favourite sets from The Greetery and wanted to pair it up with a spring sprig. I chose a cherry blossom branch because when I was living in Victoria these beautiful pink blossoms always signified the coming of spring to me. I played around with some different colour combinations for my cherry blossoms and decided on Spun Sugar + Kitsch Flamingo distress oxide inks.

I really liked the greige colour of Pumice Stone distress oxide ink when I was using it recently on another project and decided I wanted my teacup to be out of that colour. I wanted to create a spilled coffee/tea background and used my Vintage Photo + Walnut Stain + Ground Espresso distress oxide inks and some water on Tim Holtz distress watercolour paper. I really wasn't sure of the look until it fully dried and decided I quite liked it! I decided to use the Crimped Frame die and then mount my piece onto some Earl Grey (my favourite tea!) cardstock from Taylored Expressions.

Paper: Distress Watercolour Paper (Tim Holtz); White (SU); Earl Grey (Taylored Expressions)
Stamps: Budding Beauties: Spring, Cozy Cup (The Greetery)
Ink: Black, Cocoa (CTMH); Bundled Sage, Ground Espresso, Hickory Smoke, Kitsch Flamingo, Pumice Stone, Spun Sugar, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain distress oxide (Tim Holtz)
Dies: Budding Beauties: Spring, Cozy Cup, Crimped Frame (The Greetery)
