I finally got a chance to try out some of my new Lawn Fawn items that I got from Papercrafter's Workshop to make a special card for a good friend who got to move into her new beautiful home this week!

I started by creating her house using the Happy Village set and my Tombow markers on Canson coldpress watercolour paper. My friend's new home is just out of town in a forested area, so I thought the new Forest Backdrop would pair nicely with the Forest Border. I pulled out the Watercolour Wishes papers along with some Woodgrain cardstock. I loved the purple papers for my skyline and used Pumice Stone distress oxide ink with the Mountain Stencil to create my background.

This card is a great example for using up some scraps and extras that were on my desk! I wasn't sure at first how I wanted to include a sentiment. I love the included sentiment in Happy Village: "home is where the heart is" but it did not quite fit on the banner I had leftover from another card using the Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag. I decided to only stamp part of the sentiment and use Oliver's Stitched ABC's for the word 'HOME'. I added a gold glitter heart I had previously cut out onto the end of the tag to cover up the hole.

I am linking up with the "little things" challenge over at Lawn Fawnatics with all my small tree details and house.

Paper: Knit Picky, Watercolour Wishes, Woodgrain (Lawn Fawn); Gold Glitter (CTMH)
Ink: Pumice Stone distress oxide (Tim Holtz); Archival Black, Black, White Daisy (CTMH)
Stamps: Happy Village (LF)
Dies: Forest Backdrop, Forest Border, Happy Village, Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag, Oliver's Stitched ABC's (LF)
Stencils: Mountain Stencil (LF)
