Today I have a set of simple Mother's Day cards using this fun set of quotes from an older Close To My Heart set. Today and tomorrow are the last two days to order items out of our current Seasonal Expressions 1 catalogue - our new catalogue goes live on Wednesday, May 1 with lots of exciting products to offer!

Paper - Paper Bag (Lawn Fawn)
Ink - Archival Black (CTMH)
Stamps - Mother's Day (CTMH)
Dies - Darling Ribbon & Frames (Studio Katia)

Check out these wooden tags! My Dad made these for me from fallen branches from their orchard and forest, sanded them a bit, and drilled a little hole in them for me so that I could thread some twine through and stamp them how I wanted. I love how they turned out!

Stamps - Just For You (Lawn Fawn); Typed Note (CTMH)
Ink - Archival Black (CTMH); markers (Tombow)

I am SO EXCITED to show my first handmade card made completely out of plantable paper! Even the envelope is plantable, too! I've been wanting to explore papercrafting with plantable paper for awhile now and was so excited to come across a Canadian company that makes this paper from post-consumer paper waste collected from schools and businesses and embeds it with wildflower seeds. This wildflower seed mix grows a blend of colourful wildflowers including Bird's Eye, Clarkia, Black Eyed Susan, Sweet Alyssum, Catchfly, and Snapdragon. The card and envelope can be planted in 1/8" of soil. It should be watered thoroughly and placed in a sunny spot that will also be kept moist during germination. I will be documenting my own trials with planting this paper on my instagram account!

Stamps - You're So Sweet (Studio Katia); Typed Note (CTMH)
Ink - Archival Black (CTMH)
Markers - 158, 606 (Tombow)
I decided to make up some Mother's Day tags for the shoppe and of course I couldn't resist doing some watercolour with these sweet peas. The spring mood board over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge has so many spring feels one cannot help but be inspired! I used my favourite Simon Says Stamp tag die and topped these tags off with some gingham ribbon. Watercolouring definitely makes me happy so I am also linking up with the "happy times" challenge over at Heart2Heart. These gorgeous flowers were arranged by our local florists at MJ's Florals and the lovely Vancouver Candle Co. candle can be found at Lane and Meadow along with these tags!

Patio season is just about among us - finally! We definitely enjoyed some time out on our deck this weekend. I think this card just sums it all up - let's go grab a cocktail! It was fun to take this set out again and create this CAS card.

Ink - Archival Black (CTMH); Mowed Lawn, Spiced Marmalade, Peacock Feathers distress ink (Tim Holtz)
Stamps - I Like You (Kelly Purkey); Free Spirits (Paper Smooches)
A gloomy day just begs for some watercolour time! I am loving the Canson cold press watercolour paper that I picked up at our local art supplies store at Cranbrook Photo. The heavyweight of the paper is perfect and I really like how the ink moves on it. I have been playing around with these blooms all week and am finally satisfied with them after some helpful tips from my Auntie Karen! I wanted to create a card for my friend's wedding shower and she loves the colour purple. I thought the simple "love" sentiment that came along with the dies for this set was perfect to use in a gold foil. I wanted to keep the background simple but add a bit of visual interest so I pulled out an embossing folder - haven't done that in a long time!

Paper - White Daisy (CTMH); Cold Press Watercolor paper (Canson)
Ink - Archival Black (CTMH)
Stamps - Spring Bouquet (Studio Katia)
Markers - 158, 603, 606 (Tombow)
Embossing Folder - Simple Chevron (CTMH)

Easter is just two weeks away! I loved the sweet peas watercolour I did a couple of weeks ago so I pulled that set out again and decided to make a few more cards for Easter. I switched up the colours a little bit on this one, too. These cards are available now at Lane & Meadow!

Lane & Meadow carries all kinds of beautiful things like the candle below from Vancouver Candle Co., the sponge cloth from Ten and Co. designed in Toronto and made in Sweden, or the fancy seasoning salt from South Pond Farms in Ontario!

I have been so inspired by all of the floral watercolours around lately, especially Freshly Made Sketches winner from last week, Carla! I really want to work at this splatter thing though...I tried using the black archival ink but it just wasn't giving me the effect I was wanting. It still turned out nice though and colouring the flowers makes me excited for more spring weather!

I was in the mood to watercolour this weekend and pulled out this cactus set from Art Impressions. I followed along with the instructions on the back of this set while substituting a few different colours that I had. I decided to keep it pretty minimalistic and just mounted the watercolour paper onto this beautiful heavyweight Lawn Fawn paper with some foam tape. I am linking up with the current "outdoor scenes" challenge over at the Art Impressions blog.
