LOVE OF MY LIFE

Paper - Stampers Select White (PTI)
Stamps - Lollydoodle (CTMH)
Embossing Powder - Princess Gold (Ranger)

This congratulations card could be used for many different occasions this time of year...graduation, wedding, retirement...and more! I enjoy creating versatile cards that are more open-ended and can serve for a variety of occasions. I decided to use some reds to colour up this beautiful spring bouquet this time. I was having a hard time photographing this card so I added in some black cardstock as a backdrop to help the card pop more. I just LOVE this Lawn Fawn woodgrain cardstock - so pretty!

Paper - Cold Press Watercolor (Canson); Stampers Select White (PTI); Woodgrain cardstock (Lawn Fawn)

Markers - 177, 856, 885 (Tombow)
I wanted to make some more housewarming cards up and wanted something with a clean and simple design. I added a bit of colour to make a few elements stand out. I think this card pairs perfectly with the succulent that my sister-in-law gave me for Mother's Day in this beautiful pot that can also be found at Lane and Meadow!

It is the Spring & Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I just couldn't resist creating a sunny little tag. These Verve products will always be a favourite in my stash!

Here is another card I created for the Spring & Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop with this beautiful little teacup from Studio Katia. I love colouring this teacup up! After conducting a poll on my Instagram account about whether or not people like to send belated birthday cards, a resounding YES told me I should make some up for Lane and Meadow! These tea towels are also available at the shoppe! I tried out some different colours this time with my Tombow markers. Check out my previous post to see some brighter spring colours on this same teacup.

It is the Spring & Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop! This is one of my favourite crafty online events of the year. I, myself, prefer tea, and when I saw this beautiful tea cup from Studio Katia I could not wait to colour it up! I decided to create a blue hue behind the image to help it pop and love how it turned out. My favourite tea would have to be Earl Grey in a London Fog or the Zen Blend by local tea maker, Meadowsweet, in Kimberley.

Paper - Cold Press Watercolour paper (Canson); Kraft (Lawn Fawn)
Ink - Archival Black (CTMH); Broken China distress oxide ink (Tim Holtz)

What is your favourite cup of tea?

I happened to need 3 housewarming cards, so I thought I would make up some simple cards on this awesome heavyweight kraft coloured cardstock from Lawn Fawn. I found the perfect housewarming gifts at Lane & Meadow to go along with my cards :). All are available this weekend in the shoppe!

I was definitely busy in my craftroom last month! In March, I participated in the #MarchMeetTheMaker challenge hosted by Joanne Hawker, and it brought about many exciting things to my crafting - pushing myself to try new techniques, seeking out Canadian made plantable paper, and a collaboration with a local maker!

MountainTots is based out of Invermere, BC, and makes kids apparel designed for the outdoors, adventure, and exploration (and to fit over cloth diapers - yay!). With their spring launch this month, they will be offering a gift wrap option featuring my tags! I was so honoured to be involved in this collaboration and really love how Kyla's vision came together for these sweet tags. You can also read about MountainTots and other Kootenay clothing makers in the upcoming Kootenay Living magazine Summer 2019 issue.

Paper - Kraft (Lawn Fawn); Charcoal, White Daisy, Watercolour paper (CTMH)
Ink - Archival Black, New England Ivy, Clover (CTMH)
Stamps - Waterfront (SU); Jump For Joy, Cheery Christmas (Lawn Fawn)
Dies - Stitched Mountain Borders, Cheery Christmas, Jump For Joy (Lawn Fawn); Stitched Dress Up Tags (SSS)

The wood slices were cut and sanded by my Dad from branches that had fallen in his forest. I used my Cricut Air 2 to print the custom sentiment, "Handmade and Gifted with Love" and then used second generation stamping to add some subtle trees behind it.

This sweet sentiment from Papertrey Ink seemed to only need some stitched mountains at the bottom. I thought the stitched theme of the dies fit in well for a sewing company!

I used my Cricut for this custom sentiment, as well, that embodies the MountainTots brand - clothing made for adventurers! I love colouring up this sweet little Lawn Fawn fox.

Be sure to check out the latest launch this month from MountainTots!
