you had me at Merlot

I went to a late night crop last night and have another card to show tonight. I love this saying so much I even have a wall hanging of it in my kitchen! I chose to use this week's Freshly Made Sketch turned around to show off this fun sentiment and the bricked background reminds me of a cozy wine cellar.
Stamp set - shall we unWINEd (Unity Stamp), Free Spirits (Paper Smooches);
embossing folder - Bricked (Tim Holtz); patterned paper - Sonoma (CTMH);
cardstock & ink - Cocoa (CTMH).

Retro Sketches #116

Looking to make some birthday cards for my sister-in-laws led me back to my current favourite saying again...and I just got the coordinating stamp set to match the Paper Smooches Free Spirits dies! Funny enough, I'm using another Retro Sketches layout to show it off again :). I first started with the orange background from CTMH's Free To Be Me paperpack, but then decided to do the reverse side for my second card.

patterned paper - Free To Be Me (CTMH);
cardstock - White Daisy (CTMH); ink - Black, Goldrush, Lagoon, Olive;
stamp sets - Free Spirits (Paper Smooches), Let's Get Sip Faced (Unity Stamps);
dies - Free Spirits (Paper Smooches); Lagoon twine (CTMH).

Fast & Furious

It's my nephew's 5th birthday this week, which fits perfectly with the Take Five challenge at Heart2Heart. He is into trucks and machines big time, so I knew he would love this truck from Close To My Heart's Fast & Furious set! I chose to use the sketch from The Challenge and the colours at the Color My Heart Color Dare this week are some of his favourites.
All supplies are Close To My Heart:
Paperpack - Free To Be Me; Cardstock - Honey, Colonial White;
Stamp set - Fast & Furious; Ink - Cranberry, Honey, Twilight, Black.
Shapes cut from Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.

It's time to make Mother's Day cards! I decided to play along with the Atlantic Hearts challenge for the first time this week, as I really liked their simple sketch. That flower instantly reminded me of this stamp set. My card really came together when I saw the brilliant and fun tic-tac-toe challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. It was a tough decision, but I decided to go straight across the board with pearls, ribbon, and polka dots (love this vellum from the Free To Be Me pack!).  In coordination with the Colour Me...! challenge of using 5 colours + 1 neutral, I decided to go with Gold, Vineyard Berry, New England Ivy, Bamboo, Yellow + White.

All supplies are Close To My Heart (except twine):
paper packs - Flirty and Free To Be Me; ink - Vineyard Berry, New England Ivy;
stamp sets - Love Blooms, Mother's Day; Pearl Opaques.
