The weekend has arrived and this card makes me think of TGIF! This paper is from my favourite paper collection at Close To My Heart right now. It just screams fall to me! I made this card for my brother-in-law's birthday this month. I'm linking up with the "banner day" challenge over at Heart2Heart. I'm really enjoying painting with my distress inks. I used hickory smoke and wild honey to colour the beer and then used salty ocean to give some colour and dimension to the glass mug and to help the mug pop from the background.

The colour combination over at Color Throwdown this week has got to be one of my favourites. I used cracked pistachio + peacock feathers distress oxide inks to create a dreamy sky for my butterfly. I then paired it with our new Close To My Heart silver loose sequins pack and adhered some to the card to create a little trail behind.

I felt compelled to get into my craftroom the other night to make a special card. I knew I had just gotten the perfect stamp set from Lawn Fawn to pair up with some brand new Lawn Fawn papers I had pre-ordered this summer to play along with the something old paired with something new on the Lawnfawnatics blog. I am also linking up with the Lawn Fawn STAMPtember challenge over at Simon Says Stamp. I just had to pair this card with some yummy hedgehog chocolates from our local shoppe, Sweet Gestures.

As I was finishing up some cards late last night in my craft room I just had to bust into some new Lawn Fawn items I just got. I couldn’t wait to play around with these mountain ranges and decided Freshly Made Sketches was the perfect layout to do so. I am also linking up to the  Lawn Fawn STAMPtember challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

I've been itching to get into this amazing Lawn Fawn set since I got it this spring and today just seemed like the perfect day to finish it up! I used Freshly Made Sketches for my layout to keep the focus on the image and fun sentiment. I'm also linking up with the Lawn Fawn Stamptember celebration over at Simon Says Stamp. Can't wait to play around with this some more :)

This card is a bit of a throwback to a card design I created last year, but I really love the effect of painting with the distress oxide inks on kraft. I also like how versatile this card can be for a wedding or anniversary. Available soon at Lane and Meadow :)

My sister-in-law has passed her love of Muskoka chairs onto me, so when I saw this cute little die from Taylored Expressions I knew it would be perfect to make some cards up for her shoppe, Lane and Meadow. I was aiming to create a simple scene that was both summer and fall combined and gives way to a nostalgia of sitting on a dock somewhere as the sun is setting.

When I first saw this delicate die set from Simon Says Stamp, I immediately thought of my beautiful friend Gill. With her birthday at the end of August I set out to create a card utilizing the amazing new sunflower paper from Close To My Heart. I am also excited to share this card as one that will be available in a beautiful shoppe called, Lane and Meadow, when it opens later this month.
