I have a couple of crafty friends who I wanted to send some love to this week and I knew just the set to start with from Lawn Fawn

I absolutely adore the bear in this set that has the pop out arms where you can add knitting needles - so sweet! I decided I would like to create polar bears and had fun colouring them and all the little accessories with my Tombow markers. I added a little hue behind the bears - Spun Sugar distress oxide ink on one card and Speckled Egg distress oxide ink on the other because I could not decide which one I liked better!

I did not start out intending to make a slimline card; however, when I laid out my pieces and tried them with a line border sentiment I knew it would be perfect. I tried out creating my own pink paper to match my knitting needles by colouring a piece of white cardstock using Tombow 725 marker and then diecutting the sentiment. I also tried it out using silver glitter paper. Next, I saw the awesome slimline sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and knew it was meant to be a slimline card.
