I couldn't decide whether I wanted this design to be on cardstock or plantable paper so I decided to make up both! I wanted to replenish my stash of sympathy cards and wanted a design that could be used for all seasons.

I have been inspired by Laurie Willison's use of the rectangle masking stencil from Taylored Expressions. I used my blending brush to lightly ink over part of the stencil. I intended to only use Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink but my brush already had Salvaged Patina distress oxide ink on it and it definitely came through, too!

I held a poll on instagram to see which version people preferred, and to my surprise, most people preferred the plantable version! I think I am leaning more towards the plain cardstock for this design, but I like how both of them turned out.

I really like the look of using the rectangle masking stencil and want to keep trying out some different designs with it!

Paper: Solar White (Neenah); White Wildflower Mix (Botanical Paperworks)

Stencil: Rectangle Masking Stencil (Taylored Expressions)
