I made these tulip cards recently when I really needed to believe that spring was on its way! It has been a loooooong cold + flu season and I cannot wait to be outside more and enjoy the beautiful blooms coming up! You can see a reel of me making this card over on Instagram!

I stamped the image using a lighter coloured distress ink onto some distress watercolour paper and then outlined it with my Tombow markers.

I then went back in with dark + light markers to add some colour to the image and then used a wet paintbrush to draw the colour out.

I wanted these to be birthday cards to send up to Fullfill so I added in a coordinating sentiment from the Happy Tulips set.

Paper: Distress watercolour paper (Tim Holtz)
Stamps: Happy Tulips (Studio Katia)
Ink: Black (CTMH)
Markers: 177, 192, 676, 679 (Tombow)
