When I first saw this marigold I thought of my Mom! She always puts marigolds in her garden each year  and I thought this would make a perfect Mother's Day card for her!

I knew that I wanted to put two flowers on this card and make it one layer. I stamped the marigolds on the card and then chose distress inks to blend in.

I chose Mowed Lawn + Rustic Wilderness for the stems.

Next, I used Squeezed Lemonade + Mustard Seed + Fossilized Amber for the petals. I used a Mother's Day sentiment from an older CTMH set and then re-stamped the marigolds again to get crisp images!

Paper: Solar White (Neenah)
Ink: Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Rustic Wilderness, Squeezed Lemonade distress ink (Tim Holtz); Basic Black (Pinkfresh Studio)
Stamp & Stencils: Sketched Marigold (Waffle Flower)
