Here is a retirement card I made for someone at work, along with a family recipe (thanks Uncle Tim!) I passed on with her gift of a casserole dish.
I chose a bright casserole dish and wanted the card to coordinate, so I took out some blue distress oxide colours to use with the rose stencil.
I used Mermaid Lagoon for the base colour of the rose, and then layered Peacock Feathers, and finally Uncharted Mariner on the top layers. I used Pine Needles distress oxide for the leaves of the rose.
I chose the beautiful scripty sentiment from the Waffle Flower Happy Retirement set. I used the largest of the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables die to give the panel some interest and set it on a piece of silver foil cardstock.
To make the recipe card, I used an old alphabet set and some Prize Ribbon ink. I set the recipe onto some Fruit Salad papers to coordinate with the recipe and colour of the casserole dish!
