This past weekend I got to take part in the coolest crafting class I have ever experienced with the amazing Tim Holtz and Heidi Crowl (owner of Simon Says Stamp). I LOVED using this specially curated kit to get started on my Christmas stash for the upcoming season and also learn some new tips and tricks!
2025 Christmas Card Count: 1
2025 Christmas Tag Count: 4
I learned some new techniques such as spritzing a stamp with water and then colouring directly on my acrylic stamps with distress watercolour pencils.
Another technique, which was probably my favourite, was dipping the distress watercolour pencil into a cup of water, tapping off the excess, and then colouring directly on the stamp. To get another generation, just simply spritz the stamp and stamp onto watercolour paper again.
We also tried puddle stamping, which was fun! Here you wet the distress watercolour pencil, add some colour to your glass mat with a few different pencils and then stamp your stamp into the puddle and then onto a piece of watercolour paper!
I added some rock candy glitter to all of the die cut pieces by painting on some glossy accents and then adding the rock candy glitter to it.
We also made a shaker card using the amazing scripty word dies that came in the class kit!
