Sunflowers are definitely my sunshine on a cloudy day and I knew just what to pull out when I saw the challenge over at Fusion! I LOVE sunflowers and when I saw this set from Papertrey Ink I just had to have it! It was fun to take this card out into our yard and play around with all of the fall colours.

Fall Flowers

I really quite liked both the sketch and the inspiration photo colours over at Fusion and decided to use them to make our niece's birthday card.
Paper - Kraft, Colonial White, Black, Sea Glass cardstock (CTMH);
Stamps - Card Word Puzzle (CTMH);
Embossing Folder - Wood Slats (CTMH);
Embellishments - Just Blooms Floret Paper Flowers, Liquid Glass (CTMH); Clear gumdrops (YNS); twine.

Today I felt like it was time to work on my Christmas stash! I got this cute merry die from Hero Arts and wanted to use it somehow. I decided to use the sketch only from Fusion after I was inspired by the design team gallery (but I missed the linkup) and add a sentiment to go along with my die to link up with the "add a sentiment" challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. I was excited to add these sweet little snowflakes from Taylored Expressions to my card. It's fun to have new Christmas stuff to play with!
Paper - Jack paper collection; Black cardstock; White glitter paper (CTMH);
Stamps & Dies - Merry Stamp & Cut (Hero Arts); Snowflake Confetti (Taylored Expressions).
Here is a card I made for our nephew's birthday using the Jack paper collection (his name happens to be Jack, too!) from Close To My Heart. I also included another little new product sneak peak in there as well (available August 1)! I used the sketch over at Fusion and incorporated some gold script. I added as much stitching as my dies could handle to play along with the "in stitches" challenge over at Heart2Heart. Finally, I used some star dies to cut out some cute plaid stars to add to my card to link up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge of "seeing stars".
Paper - Jack; Juniper cardstock; Gold Foil *new* (CTMH);
Stamps - Belated Birthday (CTMH); Ink - Black (CTMH);
Dies - Stitched Rectangles (Memory Box); Happy, Basic Stars (CTMH).

I decided to make a little bag to go along with the card out of the same paper collection.

I was at one of my favourite all time spots on the weekend - Kootenay Lake! While out in the boat with my aunt and uncle we came across this cute little lighthouse:

I decided to create my own watercolour scene with these Art Impressions products. I am linking up with the "Oh the Places You'll Go" challenge over at Heart2Heart. I wasn't sure that the sketch over at Fusion would work for me so I was just going with the beach inspiration, but once I paired the right papers I found the sketch came together for me as well. The sky doesn't really come through in this picture but I did keep it a light blue (a shade lighter than the water) so that it looked like a sunny summer sky to link up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
Paper - No Worries paper collection; Glacier cardstock (CTMH); Distressed Watercolour paper (Tim Holtz);
Stamps - WC Cliff, WC Lg Lighthouse (Art Impressions);
Markers - N65, N95, 126, 177, 451, 856, 969, 992 (Tombow).
