This snowy village just had to be used for some quick Christmas cards this season!

2025 Christmas Card Count: 76 + 10 = 86

I am in love with the December card kit from Simon Says Stamp and could not help but make up some simple cards inspired by Barbara D Tarayao.

2025 Christmas Card Count: 70 + 4 = 74

I had some time to play and just had to try out this beautiful solar paste on a dark background!

2025 Christmas Card Count: 50 + 4 = 54

I am thrilled to say that I am now on the Unity Design Team for Unity Stamp Co.! Here is the first project I have created using stamps from the October Kit of the Month! *These are my affiliate links :)

2025 Christmas Tag Count: 4 + 4 = 8

This past weekend I got to take part in the coolest crafting class I have ever experienced with the amazing Tim Holtz and Heidi Crowl (owner of Simon Says Stamp). I LOVED using this specially curated kit to get started on my Christmas stash for the upcoming season and also learn some new tips and tricks!

Here is a retirement card I made for someone at work, along with a family recipe (thanks Uncle Tim!) I passed on with her gift of a casserole dish.

I made up several of these cards for my good friend's family. I used her favourite colour for the rose. It made me think of a song we both learned to play on the piano growing up called, The Rose.

I am LOVING the Branching Flowers embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp and made up a simple card featuring the beautiful hues of Peacock from Lawn Fawn and Green Tea from Taylored Expressions.

I was asked to make up some plantable thank you teacher cards for Fullfill and thought it would be great to take out this set again.

I finally got some time to play with this technique I have been itching to try! I was inspired by Ilda Dias and Barbara Tarayao and their talented creations.

I needed to make up some thank you cards for work, and my crafty friend Tammy gave me the perfect stamp set to use!

My husband's birthday was this week and I found the PERFECT sentiment to use on his card ;)! This collaboration set from CZ Design x Simon Says Stamp has some great sentiments, but this one seemed fitting for Chris! This particular card design did indeed take awhile to put together, doing several steps over a long period of time! I did a major craftroom clean re-organization over the holidays and found some fun stuff to include in the design. I am linking this up with the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge "let's celebrate".

Ok, this sentiment is just great and I had to use it :).

One of my good friends wrote an amazing story called, Cornelius the Dragon. I really hope to see it published one day! In the months leading up to her daughter's birthday I couldn't wait to make a card inspired by her story with these Lawn Fawn sets. I was able to get most of the supplies for this card from The Papercrafter's Workshop and Cranbrook Photo - both Canadian shops, yay!

I decided to make a slimline card and set to work using the Cloudy stencil and some Speckled Egg distress oxide ink. I wanted to use the Knit Picky paper for my grass and used the Forest Line Border to add in some trees. I lightly added in some Pine Needles distress oxide ink to my trees and grass.

I diecut my Build-A-Castle out of Narwhal and Storm Cloud cardstock and used the Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder to add some texture to the main parts of the castle. I chose some Woodgrain cardstock for my door and drawbridge and lightly inked all of this with Hickory Smoke distress oxide ink.

I stamped and diecut the Little Dragon + Tiny Fairy Tale characters onto Canson coldpress watercolour paper and coloured them with my Tombow markers. I love that I could create the dragon lighting the candles for the princess with his fiery breath! This card was so fun to create - I can't wait to play some more with these sets!

Paper: Narwhal, Storm Cloud, Knit Picky (LF); White (Neenah); Lilac (CTMH); Royal Purple (SSS); Coldpress watercolour paper (Canson)

It's July 1st which means we have a new catalogue live at Close To My Heart! These awesome plaids are part of one of the newest paper packs - perfect for masculine cards and maybe even to get a jump start on some Christmas cards! For now, I was inspired by my Auntie Karen and the masculine birthday cards she made up a little while ago that I wanted to make some using my own stash.
For my mother-in-law's birthday this year, I decided to create a set of cards for her with a wine theme. I wanted to keep the cards fairly simple and found some inspiration on Pinterest from Francine. I decided to use my MIL's favourite colours on each card - purple and green.
All year through! Yes, I have started my stash for 2020 Christmas cards! I am making 8-10 of this design inspired by Amy Tsuruta's beautiful pink snowflakes
It's the Fall/Winter 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I managed to fit in time for a card amidst all of my Christmas market prep! I coloured up these pumpkin spice lattes awhile ago when we were in Vancouver. It was pretty handy to have them all ready to go! I inked up a flappable envelope stencil from The Greetery to create a gingham pattern with some ground espresso ink. While I am not a coffee fan, I absolutely love coffee stamps and making coffee cards! I used The Paper Players layout to create this card and thought about adding a sentiment to the bottom once it was all assembled but thought it would be too busy with all the words in the background from the amazing Echo Park papers. Check out the closeup of the coffee sayings. "Pour Some Sugar On Me - Coffee" is definitely my favourite, what's yours?

Paper - Coffee (Echo Park); Espresso, Black (CTMH)
Ink - Archival Black (CTMH); Ground Espresso distress oxide (Tim Holtz)

For my Mom's birthday card this year I set out to make her a wine card. This Simon Says Stamp set paired with the fun wine sayings from My Favorite Things seemed to be fitting for what I envisioned. I stamped the image in a lighter Memento ink that I just got and then set to work with my Tombow markers to create a watercolour effect.

Paper - Distress Watercolor paper (Tim Holtz)
Ink - London Fog, Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Stamps - Time For Wine (SSS); Uncorked (MFT)
Markers - 126, 177, 451, 679, 992 (Tombow)
I decided to make up some Mother's Day tags for the shoppe and of course I couldn't resist doing some watercolour with these sweet peas. The spring mood board over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge has so many spring feels one cannot help but be inspired! I used my favourite Simon Says Stamp tag die and topped these tags off with some gingham ribbon. Watercolouring definitely makes me happy so I am also linking up with the "happy times" challenge over at Heart2Heart. These gorgeous flowers were arranged by our local florists at MJ's Florals and the lovely Vancouver Candle Co. candle can be found at Lane and Meadow along with these tags!

Paper - Distressed watercolour paper (Tim Holtz)

Ribbon - Navy Gingham (SU)
