I managed to plan something ahead of when I needed it! A couple months ago, my friend Tammy lent me some book themed stamps that I could use to make cards for my reading course. I knew I would be needing thank you cards coming up, so I was able to stamp 10 of these out.

Here is a clean and simple design that I made from the Love & Marriage set from Papertrey Ink.

I wanted to make up some winter birthday cards and knew I had the perfect winter birthday sentiment from an older set from Papertrey Ink. Thinking of a cozy image, I couldn't help but think to the cotton sprig set from The Greetery and how much I enjoy that image coming together.

I was asked a little while ago to make some wine themed Christmas cards to sell at a local wine making shop called Kootenay Wine Works. I made some tags earlier as well that were similar to some I made this fall. I am loving this fun Christmas wine sentiment from Two Lips Stamps and used it for my cards and tags. For the card, I painted a wash of iced spruce distress oxide ink over a snowy stencil from The Greetery. I stamped the wine bottle and sentiment in archival black ink and then used my Tombow markers to create a watercolour look.

This quote from The Grinch is one of my favourites and seems to ring more true for me each year. I love to make tags with this stamp set, but I thought I would also make up some cards with it, too. I decided to use the beautiful stencils from The Greetery to surround the words and thought I would create a gingham design for my envelope. I used Evergreen Bough distress oxide ink for both the card and the envelope. I used the new blending brushes from Studio Katia and cannot believe the difference they make!

Wanting to start building up my Christmas tag stash I pulled out the fantastic Holiday Tag Along kit that I got from Papertrey Ink a couple of years ago. I decided to go with the colour combo of Fog cardstock with Iced Spruce distress oxide ink and love how it turned out with the punched out snowflakes. Can't wait to create some more with this kit! I was so stoked to finally get some natural light for this photo :).

I have been itching to ink up this stamp set since I got it and thought it would be perfect on a wine bottle tag! I was playing around with the spotlight effect in portrait mode on my phone and love how this turned out with the wine bottles!

I finally started on my Christmas card stash today! I just love this Lawn Fawn stamp set and thought it would be perfect to create a fun card. These little gingerbread were great to paint. I paired them with some cozy papers and a couple of lacy dies from Papertrey Ink. It felt a bit weird taking out some Christmas decorations for my photo but I am happy to start my stash. A nature-inspired modern rustic mountain baby card for a custom set I am putting together! I have had visions of stitched elements, mountains, and this beautiful baby quote (definitely one of my favourites!) floating around in my head the last couple of weeks so I was pretty happy to find some time to put it all together. I kept going back and forth over one or two trees on this card but I think I have finally decided to just keep it at one. I made a few more of this version and decided I preferred the one tree on the other side! And after all this time, I finally realized this summer that the mountain views I look at actually have darker mountains closer up and lighter in behind. I could easily achieve this look with our two-tone paper at Close To My Heart by using each side to diecut my mountains!
