I discovered this amazing combination of distress oxides the other day to create some beautiful hydrangeas with the Budding Beauties - Summer set from The Greetery. I used Salvaged Patina distress oxide and finger daubed in some Twisted Citron distress oxide. I used Chipped Sapphire for the petal details. For the stem of the hydrangea I used Rustic Wilderness and Twisted Citron again for the leaves. I paired this stem with another from the same set. I went for a pink peony by using Spun Sugar + Picked Raspberry distress oxide. Rustic Wilderness was used again for the stems and accented with Black Soot distress oxide.

I decided to create a blue hue behind my bouquet using Salvaged Patina on a Crimped Frame die cut out of watercolour paper. I spritzed some water and added in some spatters using Salvaged Patina + Chipped Sapphire. I combined my bouquet together using a twine diecut from Fit To Be Tied.

Paper: Fog, Paper Bag (Lawn Fawn); Coldpress watercolour paper (Canson); Solar White (Neenah)
Ink: Black (CTMH); Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Picked Raspberry, Rustic Wilderness, Salvaged Patina, Spun Sugar, Twisted Citron, distress oxide (Tim Holtz)
Stamps: Budding Beauties - Summer, Pretty Postmarks (The Greetery)
Dies: Budding Beauties - Summer, Crimped Frame, Fit To Be Tied (The Greetery)
