This card took awhile for me to put together, but I am thrilled with how it turned out! I started out by trying a technique showcased recently on Jenn Shurkus' Get Crackin' On Christmas. Using distress watercolour pencils, I first created the background. I am hoping to get a reel up soon to show the process!
I started by wetting each distress watercolour pencil and scribbling onto some acetate. Then, I used that acetate to smoosh the ink onto some distress watercolour cardstock. I did rainbow colours in a diagonal orientation.
Though I would love to make some Christmas cards right now for my stash, I couldn't resist turning this into a fun icecream card! I took out the I Scream, You Scream set and cut out the pieces to make a triple scoop cone in different flavours! I spritzed some of them with the fun new distress spritz!
I assembled my cone and then added in some white gel pen highlights. I am linking this card up with the Creative Scrapbooker 20 Years of Creativity Contest!
Instagram Reel coming soon!
