Have you heard of Punch the monkey over in Japan? This cute little abandoned snow monkey who carries around a stuffed monkey is now a sweet little stamp set over at Unity Stamp Co.!

I decided that I wanted to create a sunset background. I took out my distress inks and using a wet paintbrush, pulled the colour smooshed onto an acrylic block. Next, I painted up the monkey and his stuffy with distress inks and gouache paint. I set the image onto some leafy paper I found in my stash. You can see a video tutorial below:

Paper: Distress watercolour paper (Tim Holtz); At the Zoo (Doodlebug)
Stamps: Comfort Companion (Unity Stamp Co.)
Ink: Hickory Smoke, Saltwater Taffy, Salvaged Patina, Squeezed Lemonade distress ink (Tim Holtz)
Paint: Gouache (Beam Paints)
Dies: BIG Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} (Unity Stamp Co.)
