On this card, I used cracked pistachio + evergreen bough distress oxide inks for the mug and then vintage photo + walnut stain distress inks for the coffee inside (or I like to say it's tea!).
Wanting to create a bright mug for my second card with this design, I started out with squeezed lemonade distress ink and then added wild honey distress oxide ink for the shading. I wanted to add a strip of something to the bottom of the cards, so I used my Flappable stencil and some black soot distress ink to stencil in some stripes. I decided to stitch this on with my sewing machine and managed to keep the stitching line straight - yay! I added in the spatters for both cards afterwards and got a little heavy-handed on this one, but I am still happy with them both overall.

They're amazing, Allie! And the spatters are the perfect touch :o)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! I like the softer colours of the first one most. Also, I love the way you dressed your photo.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely CAS cards and perfectly perfect. The first card is a favourite and I am surprised by that because the second cuppa is the same colour as my very own cup.
