Top Picks for 2022

Yay! I love reviewing my blog to make this post! Here's a look back at 2022:

January:

Duh-Nuh
This slider card was so fun to make for a few little friend's birthdays this winter. Harvey suggested the goldfish crackers be included in my card photo :).

February:

Happy Day
Only one post from this month to choose from but that's ok, I quite like this card! Sad to see Pigment Craft Co. disappear this year...hoping they will make a comeback in 2023 because I love their products - especially their inks!

March:

Strawberry Fields Forever
Just reading that title has me singing that song in my head! This card was created to celebrate the birthday of the owner of one of my favourite crafty shops - Sheri at The Papercrafters Workshop in Stouffville, Ontario!

April:

You're The Best
I love making single layer plantable cards and made these especially for NemyLu to feature with their beautiful reusable gift boxes for Mother's Day!

May:

Birthday Tulips
Not only did I love making this card, but the reel I put together of creating the card was my top reel on Instagram this year with 8390 views!

June:

New Beginnings
This stencil set from The Greetery was probably one of my most used products this year! So many different colourways and possibilities - love it!

July:

Lemons and Blueberries
Tried out the Pinkfresh Studio washi tape with these cards and love how they came together!

August:

Here For You Sunflower
I love sunflowers and was stoked to have this image to colour up with my Tombow markers - so relaxing!

September:

You Croc My World
Another song that I just start singing right away as I read it! This card isn't anything fancy, but it does show I'm learning more about my Tombow markers and how they work on different papers. This sentiment just puts a smile on my face!

October:

Harvey's 5th Birthday Invitation
This design was inspired by one of our favourite nighttime books - Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site! This construction set from Pretty Pink Posh was so handy this year!

November:

Alex's 2nd Birthday
I loved making this card and was absolutely thrilled to be featured on the Lawn Fawn blog for it!

December:

Love, Joy, Peace
Blue was definitely a theme in my cards this year, especially in the winter! With the release of Uncharted Mariner, I gravitated towards that colour often. Loved the Wintry Forest stencil from Pinkfresh Studio and used it on a ton of projects! This design made me think of our son, Blaze.

Bonus Highlights:

We Love You Snow Much
Crafting with Harvey is so much fun (even if he accidentally cut off a chunk of my finger!). He loves coming into the craftroom with me to make something for someone!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
With my Auntie Karen's upcoming birthday in mind, I designed this card thinking of her and how many Coffee Lovers Blog Hops we have participated in together over the years! I was very honoured to be chosen as a Designer Top Pick during the hop!

Frosty Pines
These cards very well could have been the longest I took to make a set of cards this year! To be fair, there were multiple steps (6-piece stencil + mica spray with extra drying time + double die cut with trimming to layer) and I tried to make 8 of them all at once (only completed 6). Still, it was satisfying to see the design finally come together in the end and I was pretty proud to give them out at Christmas!

------------------------------------

Well, that's a wrap 2022! I am grateful to have an amazing space to craft in and look forward to squeezing in crafting time when I can throughout 2023. Cheers to a new year!
